Established in 1958, China Energy Engineering Group Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd. is a diversified and international large-scale engineering company consisting of more than 30 wholly-owned holding and shareholding companies.
It has been engaged in more than 10 different types of businesses such as thermal power, nuclear power, power transmission and transformation, maintenance and repair, clean energy, and steel structure manufacturing.
It has more than 5,400 management technicians, more than 300 construction machines including 750 ton, 400 ton, and 250 ton crawler cranes and 800 ton heavy flatbed trucks. The operation and maintenance of 3600 tons of special crawler cranes can meet the construction needs of dozens of engineering projects at home and abroad.
Up to now, the company has completed more than 320 large-scale power installations with a total capacity of more than 85 million kilowatts.
Its construction area covers more than 20 regions at provincial level in China, and includes parts of Indonesia, Egypt, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Laos and Myanmar.
In the history of China's electric power construction, the company participated in the creation of many firsts. In 1991, the Qinshan nuclear power plant, the first nuclear power plant in the Chinese mainland was built and became a model for self-reliance and peaceful use of nuclear energy in New China. In 2006, the first million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical thermal power unit in China, Huaneng Yuhuan Power Plant No. 1, was successfully put into operation, achieving a successful leap in China's power station construction capacity from 600,000 kilowatts to a million kilowatts. In 2009, the world's first AP1000 nuclear power unit - the Sanmen nuclear power conventional island project - was officially started. In 2014, the company won the bid for the CAP1400 nuclear island project in Shidao Bay, successfully entered the core construction field of nuclear power, and achieved a breakthrough in nuclear island construction.
