A rocket engine testbed with a thrust capacity of 700 metric tons, the largest of its kind in Asia, recently succeeded in its trial operation and is ready for application, becoming a milestone of China's liquid rocket engine infrastructure construction.
China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC)'s subsidiary in Northwest China's Shaanxi Province was responsible for development of the testbed.

With a modularized, flexible and digital experiment capacity, the testbed can be used to test multiple types of engines.
Once operational, it is expected to support China's major projects such as development of a heavy carrier rocket, lunar exploration, deep-space exploration, space transportation system and space-based infrastructure construction.
