On October 12, the world's largest 26-megawatt offshore wind turbine unit with fully independent intellectual property rights, developed by Dongfang Electric Corporation, rolled off production line at the offshore wind power international industrial park in Fuqing city, Southeast China's Fujian province.
This unit boasts the largest single-machine capacity globally and the longest rotor diameter among domestically produced offshore wind turbine units. With a full supply chain, it consists of over 30,000 components. Key technologies such as the generator, blades, bearings, and electrical control systems have been leading in the world.
This represents the latest advancement of technology in China's entire wind power equipment industry chain, providing robust technical support for the country to build a new power system and achieve its "dual carbon" goals.
