New intelligent intercity electric multiple units (EMUs) capable of reaching 200 km per hour have been developed by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Limited (CRRC).
The train is set to run on intercity lines connecting Zhengzhou to Kaifeng, and Zhengzhou to Xinzheng International Airport in Henan Province, offering passengers a smarter and more comfortable travel experience.
The four-car train is built based on CRRC’s intelligent intercity EMU platform with a maximum speed of 200 km/h. It is designed for high passenger capacity, rapid acceleration and braking and efficient boarding and alighting. As the latest generation of intelligent intercity EMUs in China, it boasts significant advancements in intelligent services, monitoring and maintenance.
Equipped with a next-generation intelligent service system, the train integrates full-digital Ethernet communication and 5G technology to enable onboard Wi-Fi, live television, and smart passenger information services. A notable highlight is the introduction of smart windows for the first time, which support personalized information display and enhanced human-machine interaction based on different travel scenarios.
